Meta Muse for business: how to find customers in 7 steps
Meta Muse can run customer-finding work for a small business: it plans the steps, browses, drafts outreach and asks before it sends anything. What it lacks out of the box is a list of prospects and a way to verify their contact details, so the steps below show where a connector fills that gap.

Can Meta Muse find customers for your business?
Partly on its own, and fully with the right connector. Meta says Muse can browse the web, fill out forms, connect to your apps, turn goals into action plans and keep working after you close the app (Meta's Muse FAQ). That covers research and outreach. It does not come with data on who your buyers are.
| Job | Muse on its own | Muse with a connector |
|---|---|---|
| Plan a prospecting push | Yes | Yes |
| Research a company's website | Yes, by browsing | Yes, faster with company data |
| Find owners or managers who match your customer | Slow and unreliable by browsing | Yes, with people and company search |
| Find a verified work email | No | Yes, with an email finder and verifier |
| Find people asking for what you sell | No | Yes, with Buyer Signal Search |
| Draft and send outreach | Yes, with your approval | Yes, with your approval |
Step 1: Give Muse a customer goal
Muse works best with a goal it can track, not a one-off question. Be specific about how many customers, what kind, and by when.
I run [business] in [city]. My goal is 10 new [type of customer] conversations this month. Make a plan, track it weekly, and ask me before you contact anyone.
Step 2: Describe your ideal customer
Every search after this is only as good as this description. Include who buys, who does not, and the moment they need you.
Here's who buys from me: [role] at [type of business], [size], in [area]. They usually need me when [trigger, e.g. opening a new location]. Not a fit: [who to skip]. Save this as my ideal customer and use it for every search.
Step 3: Connect a people and company search
This is where Muse needs help. Browsing for prospects one site at a time is slow and easy to get wrong; a search connector returns people and businesses that match your filters. Connectors are added in Settings, then Connectors (how Muse connectors work). We are building the superagnt_ connector for exactly this job.
Find 25 owners or general managers of [type of business] in [area] with 5 to 50 employees. For each, give me the name, business, website and why they fit my ideal customer.
Step 4: Find people already asking for what you sell
The warmest prospects announce themselves. Someone posting "looking for a bookkeeper who knows restaurants" or commenting on a post about the problem you solve is further along than anyone on a cold list. Buyer Signal Search looks for those public posts on X and LinkedIn, scores each person against your ideal customer and shows the post that explains why.
Search X and LinkedIn for people in the last 30 days asking for [what you sell] or complaining about [problem you solve]. Only keep people who match my ideal customer, and show me the post for each one.
Step 5: Find and verify their emails
An agent that guesses contact details will eventually send to the wrong person. In one hands-on review, Muse made up a phone number before admitting it (Yahoo Finance). Use an email finder and verify every address before anything goes out.
For each person on my list, find their work email and verify it. Drop anyone whose email doesn't verify, and tell me how many are left.
Step 6: Let Muse draft outreach, and approve before it sends
Muse asks before sensitive actions like sending messages, and you can allow once, always allow or deny (Meta's Muse FAQ). Keep sending on "ask every time" while you are starting out, and give each draft one specific reason to reply.
Draft a short email to each verified lead. Mention the specific reason they fit (the post they wrote or what their business just did), offer one useful thing, and keep it under 90 words. Show me every draft before sending.
Step 7: Track what works
Muse keeps a record of what it has done and can monitor things in the background (Meta's launch post). Use that to see which search and which message actually get replies.
Every Monday, tell me how many people we contacted last week, who replied, and which search they came from. Suggest one change to next week's search.
Limits and privacy to keep in mind
- Muse can make mistakes like any AI model, so review lists and drafts before acting on them.
- Connectors have their own terms and privacy policies; check them before connecting.
- Meta says Muse conversations are not shared with its ad systems.
- Muse launched in the US first and Meta describes it as in limited testing.
Common questions
01Can Meta Muse find new customers for my business?
It can plan and run the outreach, research companies and draft messages. To find matching people, verified emails and buyers asking for what you sell, it needs a connector such as the superagnt_ connector we are building.
02Can Muse send emails to prospects?
Yes, through a connected email account like Gmail or Outlook. It asks for approval before sending unless you change that setting.
03Does Meta Muse have a lead database?
No. It can browse the web, but it does not come with data on people or companies. That comes from a connector.
04Can Muse search LinkedIn or X for buyers?
Not with a built-in connector as of September 2026. Buyer Signal Search, part of the superagnt_ connector, is built to find people publicly asking for what you sell on X and LinkedIn.
05Is Meta Muse free for business use?
Muse is free with a usage limit. Heavier work like continuous prospecting fits the Power ($20 a month) or Maximum ($100 a month) plans.
06How do small businesses find customers?
The fastest wins usually come from people already looking: referrals, reviews, and public posts asking for a provider. Pair that with a clear description of your ideal customer and a short, specific first message.
