The SocialScraper connection lets an agent pull public Instagram data. It scrapes a public profile (bio, post, follower and following counts, and any public email or phone on it) or a user's follower or following list, reads the result once the job finishes, and checks the credits left on the account.

Setup

  1. Copy your API key. In SocialScraper open Settings → My account → API Keys. The API key needs the Basic plan or above.
  2. Connect SocialScraper. In the superagnt app open Integrations, pick SocialScraper, paste the key and press Connect.

Things to know

  • A scrape is a job, not an answer. scrape-profile, scrape-followers and scrape-following each start one and return a result_id. Poll get-result-status with that result_id until the job is complete: the same response then carries the payload.
  • Pass the handle as instagram_username, without the leading @. A private or missing account answers 404.
  • Only scrapes spend SocialScraper credits. Reading a result, or the balance with get-remaining-credits, is free.
  • When the balance runs out, a scrape fails with PROVIDER_ERROR and status 402. Top up in SocialScraper: superagnt_ credits do not pay for it.
  • Scrapes run without asking by default, so a deployed agent spends credits on its own. Set the scrape tools to Ask if a person should approve each one (Permissions).
  • superagnt_ adds your key to every call as the api_key query parameter, and replaces any api_key you send.
  • The connection covers Instagram only.
